We understand how important your GCSEs are and how they set you up for the future whatever you choose to do when you leave school. Have you ever considered doing a vocational qualification along side your GCSEs, one that could start you along your chosen career path in the year you start your options.
Heathercroft Training Academy work with some local schools helping students who have chosen to do a vocational qualification in an area that they feel they may want to work in once they have finished their full time education.
Some of the Vocational qualifications we offer are equivalent to GCSE A-C grades and A levels, so they are worth considering.
If you have already decided that you want to work with children for instance, you could start your training in this subject as early as year 9 and continue right through to Advanced Apprenticeship level once you are employed in the industry.
The benefits of choosing this way of learning include:
- An opportunity to work your way through different levels ensuring that you have a very good understanding of your subject.
- Work experience placements where you gain practical skills and working with other people who have the same interests as you.
If you would like to know more about what vocational training is available to you, talk to your school and have a look at our information on the Apprenticeship pages.
