We have been providing Vocational Training to students for over 20 years during which time many thousands of students have successfully achieved their qualifications.

Our success rates, both overall and  ‘timely’, have exceeded national targets in all respects for the last 5 years running.

The welfare, health and safety of our students are our prime concern.  The team at Heathercroft Training Academy is here to offer practical information and advice and to provide help with any problems which may arise during your course.

We actively promote equal treatment and opportunity for all, irrespective of gender, race or religion.

Levels of vocational training
  • Students have the opportunity to get paid while they learn.
  • The skills and knowledge gained helps a student to succeed in his or her current role and become a more valuable employee.  This improves the Apprentice’s salary and promotion prospects.
  • Students can start Apprenticeships when then they want to and can work at their own pace.  An Apprenticeship takes about 12 months.
  • Vocational qualifications, such as Apprenticeships, are recognized nationally and can provide an alternative route into higher education.

This diagram does not include all the qualifications or progression routes possible at levels 2 to 6.

Also entry requirements to higher education may vary according to subject and Institution.

Vocational training is for those students who want to work in an environment with a strong hands-on component.

It is designed to develop both the practical skills and also the theoretical knowledge which are directly relevant to their current job role and choice of career.

See Apprenticeships for eligibility and funding information.

Heathercroft Training Academy provides courses in Child Care, IT, Business and Administration, Health and Social Care, Customer Service and Horse Care which lead to qualifications at Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship levels.

Each student receives personalised training in the subject of their choice and tailored to their current job role.  We do this jointly with his or her employer.
