An Apprenticeship (Level 2)
The current Apprenticeship is under review and has therefore not been transferred to the QCF (Qualifications & Credit Framework) as yet.
When it becomes a QCF qualification, the qualification will be either, the Award, Certificate or Diploma in Work Based Horse Care.
To obtain your level 2 qualification, you will need to achieve the following:

| A Technical Certificate | Level 2 Technical Certificate in Health and Safety for those working in the Equine Industry. |
| Key Skills or Functional Skills | Key Skills Level 1 in Application of Number, Communication and Working with Others |
| Employment responsibilities and rights | Emergency First Aid. |
Apprentices must be employed in the industry and work a minimum of 16 hours per week in order to qualify for funding.
